Most people today lead a very busy life and are unable to commit to a multi-level program. For
example, we started with 10 participants in Level I and by the time we reached Level IV, there were
only two remaining participants. This experience lead me to develop shorter and more focused
courses.
The Self Massage Program is the first in a series of short courses and only needs a few sessions to
master the techniques. However, to reap full benefits of the program, the participants should practice
it on a daily basis. I practice this set of self massage techniques almost every morning to get myself
ready for the day.
Healthy Body & Mind
All of us would like to have a healthy body. For spiritual practitioners/seekers, a healthier body is a
strong foundation for mind development. To obtain a healthy body, it is important to have sufficient
sleep, eat properly, exercise regularly, and have a positive attitude toward life.
Various forms of massage have been practiced over thousands of years. They do not cost much but
will give practitioners numerous benefits that include: promoting blood circulations, relaxing muscles,
strengthening the flow of our vital energy (chi), and making our internal organs function properly.
A healthy mind also promotes a healthier body. When one is angry, they tend to get tired because of
the energy loss. When one is worried, they cannot sleep well. The practice of loving-kindness/
forgiveness meditation is highly recommended. Other forms of regular sitting/moving meditation are
also highly recommended.
Self Massage CD
This online information is a replacement of the Self Massage
CD I developed in 2004 under Pong's Center for Inner Peace.
This data CD is no longer available.

Around the year 2000, I taught Tai Chi (Yang Style) to
a group of faculty and staff at Christian Brothers
University in Memphis, TN. I quickly found that most
people do not know how to relax and should not start
with Tai Chi because of the complexity of its forms.
So, in 2002 I offered a multi-level Energy Cultivation
for Health & Enlightenment Program to another
group of faculty, staff, and students at the university.
This program combined qigong, meditation, dao-in,
and mudras. Later, the program was revised to a
new six-level Energy Cultivation for Health & Inner
Peace. The new program was also offered in 2003
at Bert Ferguson Community Center in Cordova, TN.
This on-line version was developed as a reference
when I started a relaxation course at Hutchison
school in Memphis, TN, in 2008.
